San Pedro Del Pinatar is joined with Lo Pagan and a 15-20 minute walk from Baja B Beauty.  A lot of local celebrations take place in the town square and processions either start or finish at this location.  There are local shops in the town, a post office and lots of restaurants and cafeteria’s

Santiago De La Ribera is a town similar to Lo Pagan in beauty on the edge of the Mar Menor with beachside cafes, bars, ice cream parlour and chiringuitos.  Solaz Line ferry leaves from the town for La Manga at regular intervals through the day.  You will find statues dedicated to the Spanish equivalent of the Red Arrows here – Patrulla Aguila who run practice flights regularly through the summer over both towns.

Heading further out from Santiago is San Javier, Cabo de Palas and Los Alcazares. The former has an Iceland Store and the famous Yorkshire Linen Shop.  Los Alcazares is a town with beachside cafes, and bars – heading back from the beach a host of restaurants vying for business covering all cuisines.

Cabo de Palos is the point to turn off at if wishing to explore the famous La Manga Club where footballers and sportsmen are reported to holiday, the resort is open to visitors for drinks.  Calblanque Regional Park with it’s many beaches stretching to Cabo de Palos is part of a natural marine reserve popular with divers turtles have been released back to the wild from here each year.

Moving on. the city of Cartegena https://www.murciaturistica.es/en/home/ is another sightseeing location with it’s marble streets, casino, restaurants, bars,  and shopping.  All this in addition to the Roman Theatre, a port that hosts cruise ships, and tours of the ancient harbour with English guns still in place from the Vickers yard at Barrow-in-Furness.
